We're building a world-class team here at Yelp, and we're searching for an Associate Creative Director (Copy) to help us uncover powerful insights, shape creative strategies, develop great concepts that everyone can get behind, and have a good time while doing it.
Reporting to our Creative Director, you'll be responsible for crafting creative solutions across the entire customer journey. You’ll be working with, mentoring, and guiding a team of designers, illustrators, animators, other writers... you know, creatives. People like you. Day-to-day, you'll guide the team in distilling the essence of Yelp's brand personality into creative work that connects with our audience—in other words, telling great stories that our customers want to see and hear. To do this, you'll translate marketing objectives, and define clear creative strategies and concepts that can be executed and delivered on time—driving measurable results.

This is a full-time remote role based in the United States.
Where You Come In:
You’ll be a manager, strategic thinking, and doer—working proficiently across multiple platforms, channels, and media types.
You’ll lead one to two teams on large creative initiatives, including concepting, strategy, planning, and prioritization.
You’ll be an integral member of the creative organization, contributing to the ongoing development of the team’s people, processes, and culture.
You’ll partner with operational teams like Project and Program Managers to figure out how a vision can be executed, ensuring both speed and quality.
You’ll uncover customer insights that fuel creative briefs and bring focus to our work.
You’ll define and refine the process/approach for tackling a problem and leading others toward that solution while actively collaborating and defining partnerships with cross-functional peers.
You’ll optimize large team projects to maximize business value and recommend difficult trade-off and actively lead team critiques and reviews.
You’ll work with internal partners to define creative strategies and Yelp's brand styles.
You’ll help drive creative and operational excellence as well as promote strategic thinking internally.
What it Takes to Succeed:
You have 10–15 years' experience delivering well-crafted, smart, and on-strategy 360 creative campaigns.
You have experience working across print and digital advertising, marketing channels and mediums.
You have a love for the discipline of creative strategy.
You have strong fundamental communication skills that can be used for brand storytelling, guiding a user through an experience, and presenting ideas in a clear and compelling way.
You have general knowledge of Figma, Sketch, and Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, and yes, Google Docs Editors Suite.
You have meticulous attention to the details of your craft… and all details, for that matter.
You have experience working for a B2B and or B2C product-based company is a plus.
You have a long history of playing well with others and bring joy to everything you do.
You are open to opinions and perspectives that challenge existing beliefs, and willing to evolve your stance based on new information.
