Our freelance content creator / editor should be well versed in supporting our content marketing needs and should be comfortable:

  • Editing and creating cross-channel content programs for both B2B and B2C brands
  • Creating and editing narratives that support our content strategies in driving against our business goals
  • Edit content from members of the staff 
  • Mentor content talent

Components of the freelance content creator / editor:

  • Must have an eye for editing
  • In depth knowledge of AP style guide 
  • Team player; willing and excited to help the marketing team and HomeX succeed, which may include taking on additional responsibilities as needed
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Hyper-growth, startup experience is a plus

Key Qualifications:

  • 4 plus years of Content Marketing experience
  • Detail-oriented
  • Proven ability to lead and manage teams and stakeholders
  • B2B experience preferred
  • College degree preferred - Journalism, Creative Writing
  • Outstanding ability to think creatively, strategically, and identify and resolve problems
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong organizational, time management and collaboration skills
  • Home services industry is a plus
