Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 12 years of experience working in marketing (e.g. tech marketing and/or working with agencies).


Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in regional creative roles in APAC, specifically experience working with North Asian markets.
  • Experience in an agency or an in-house creative team at an organization of significant scale, scope and complexity; ability to operate in a matrixed environment.
  • Understanding of external trends, ability and versatility to work with challenging brands.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with your client partners and internal peers and are solutions-oriented.
  • Ability to speak and write in Japanese or Korean fluently to develop and foster relationships with agency/production partners.
  • Excellent presentation skills and conceptual ability and can distill ideas to their essence.

As the Head of Creative of YouTube Brand Creative Studio, APAC, you'll play a key role in shaping the voice of one of a culturally significant brand in a dynamic and growing region. In this role, you will be responsible for setting the creative vision as well as building, scaling and operationalizing an outstanding in-house creative team. In addition, you will play a pivotal role stewarding key creative partners and agencies of YouTube across APAC. As the brand team, we have a critical role in bringing our brand mission to life and showcase the best of YouTube to our audiences.

In this role, you'll use strong leadership combined with visual, design, written, and experiential acumen to drive creative strategy, ideation, and executional excellence for the region. Both within the internal team, and through external agencies, you'll ensure all teams are positively motivated to deliver their best creative work, delivered on brief, on time, and on budget.

In this role, you'll work closely with APAC marketing leadership, Global creative leads, and other important partners to deliver campaigns that will build YouTube’s brand equity and represent its unique culture and values.


Responsibilities

  • Lead, inspire, and motivate a diverse group of creatives, planners, and producers to deliver effective and excellent work that is on brief, on time, and on budget. 
  • Create an internal creative team that attracts talent and can scale to meet the growth of YouTube across the APAC region.
  • Develop and foster relationships with agency and production partners (including Japanese and Korean speaking partners) to deliver great work.
  • Act as the creative lead for the YouTube brand across core users, creators, artists, and key opinion formers (KOFs).
  • Partner collaboratively with other marketing teams and cross-functional groups at YouTube and Google to align on brand expression and creative strategy, set priorities, and devise execution roadmaps.
