Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a creative marketing leadership role.
  • Experience managing teams and organizational design.
  • Experience in an advertising agency and/or client-side advertising.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with creative concepting with a heavy emphasis on rethinking how to expand the brand’s dimensions with future-forward creative to drive the work across different touchpoints.
  • Experience in various mediums of communication; moving image, graphic design, art direction, experiential, and spatial design but with a strong conceptual process that binds the work.

About the job

As Head of Design, you will conceptualize creative work that aligns with the brand’s goals and work with the Executive Creative Director on delivering the work within the YouTube network. You will lead projects, focus on the look and feel of the brand, drive the creative vision with a creative team as support, and navigate the brand and its relationship with multiple sub-brands, products, systems. You will build and lead a design team and a roster of trusted partners, as well as network with talent.

  • Work on briefs that deliver against the brand mission, and deliver on self-initiated marketing briefs, with an emphasis on truthful insights to always lead the story.
  • Lead with the Executive Creative Director on the future visual strategy both internally and externally, communicating with stakeholders to continually push the creative.
  • Lead and elevate the bar of creative and design excellence within your team and across EMEA marketing.
