We're looking for passionate product designers to join TikTok Avatars team in Los Angeles or Mountain View, CA. You will lead and own product features that help evolve and drive impact for TikTok globally. We are currently a remote workforce and will offer hybrid opportunities in the future.


Responsibilities - Help lead to re-establish our Figma design system holistically for the effect panel in TikTok app - Create high-quality UI deliverables and contribute to visual design of the feature - Prototype interactions, end to end user flows, and AR and gesture guided walkthroughs - Deliver motion prototypes and specs to engineering - Create detailed user flows, product maps, and wireframes with the ability to communicate UX clearly to relevant teams and in design critiques - Perform usability studies with end users. Conduct research and create trend guides to support projects and concepts - Leverage data insights to inform your product design thinking - Communicate with teams across time zones to ensure efficient and accurate implementation - Support content/marketing department with artwork for campaigns and video challenges - Provide UX best practice expertise and mentoring to team and stakeholders


Qualifications


- 4+ years designing UX for consumer-facing products across mobile, preferably in the content creation or consumption space - Ability to drive products 0 to 1, rapidly iterate and produce multiple concepts - Strong in visual design, interaction design, and regularly execute prototypes using tools like Principle, Framer, or AE to rapidly test and iterate complex interactions and experiences - Experience working with design systems (design components, icon, color) - Strong leadership skills with ability to think at a high level about product strategy - Great communication skills to be able to articulate your concepts, vision and decision-making - Experience working with multiple stakeholders across the org - Ability to rapidly iterate and produce multiple concepts - Experience with a/b testing and a data driven practice - Familiar with development methods and able to effectively balance implementation of cost and plan benefits - Results oriented and resilient. Ability to fit within a startup culture which celebrates efficiency and driving impact - At times, work efficiently under high levels of pressure and demanding timelines - Academic foundation is product design and HCI (nice to have)
