Job summary

Our AWS CX Team is looking for a Senior UX Designer for a strategic and key business area of cloud computing, Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3). Amazon S3 is the industry’s first and largest cloud storage provider, and one of the most interesting distributed systems on the planet. We are a collaborative team, working with customers to design and build the technology that stores data for millions of applications for companies all around the world such as Airbnb, Netflix, and Uber.


In this role, you will partner closely with product and engineering stakeholders to lead design projects, and create great experiences for our customers. You will be a key member of a growing design team, working together to evolve design practices, expand collaboration mechanisms, and mentor team members. You are a systems level thinker, eager to tackle the challenging design problems that come with an ever-evolving, complex product ecosystem.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 6+ years of design experience

· An available online portfolio

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· 8+ years of industry experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, information architect, or similar design-related role.

· Bachelor or Master's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent degree.

· Experience creating prototypes or wire-frames for complex web applications and/or workflows.

· Experience owning the UX design of complex workflows for technical customers and/or experience in delivering design solutions for projects of large scope and complexity.

· Experience in best practices for information architecture and design, and strong knowledge of usability principles and techniques.

· Demonstrated history of working with user data (e.g., conducting usability studies, performing user research) and creating personas and journey maps.

· Experience designing and prototyping with tools such as Sketch, InVision, Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar.

· Strong verbal communication and presentation skills.
