Senior UX Designer, Amazon Fulfillment Experience

Over the last 20 years, the share of physical gross merchandise sales sold on Amazon by third-party Sellers has grown from 3% to 58% in 2018. With over 2 million global Sellers listing their products for sale on Amazon’s Marketplace in 15+ countries, third-party Sellers are increasingly critical to delivering on Amazon’s vision of offering the Earth’s largest selection and lowest prices. In our vision to build a global marketplace, we will provide easy-to-use tools enabling Sellers to make intuitive choices about how they manage their inventory into Amazon’s Fulfillment Network in order to make their selection available to customers globally.

We are seeking a Senior User Experience to be at the forefront of this vision and lead experience charters for highly strategic products used by millions of Sellers across the world to offer products to Amazon Customers world-wide. This position is a senior leadership role and you will own setting the design direction for new and existing products and services spanning multiple user segments (from entrepreneurs to professional) and at a global scale. You will work collaboratively with designers, product managers, marketing managers, developers, operations, domain experts, users, executives, and more to lead the design of new product experiences from concept to development and market roll out.

You will lean on your strengths as a communicator, problem framer, visionary, coach, and adaptability across design mediums and domains (digital, physical, service, international users) to raise the bar holistically for your program’s users. Because the scope of this position extends across all creative work, the ability to balance high-level, holistic reason with detail-oriented design is imperative.

The ideal candidate will be able to visualize an experience in the abstract, articulate complex use-cases and then be able to drive the vision into design deliverables and artifacts. You think first from the customer’s perspective, use research and data to influence your decisions, set relentlessly high standards for yourself and deliver bar raising shopping experiences.

Our design team is an ever-growing, multidisciplinary group at Amazon responsible for the entire selling journey for Amazon Sellers world-wide, from discovery and evaluation of products and programs, to fulfilling customer orders, to analytics needed to project new customer demand. Teams of designers, design technologists, and researchers, work collaboratively to create the next big thing for Sellers.


· 7+ years delivering experience design solutions as a UX designer, interaction designer or information architect.

· Combination of UX and visual design skills.

· A portfolio or samples of work demonstrating experience in user-centered design solutions and product design innovation. Must illustrate solving for multi-platform UX challenges and demonstrate scalable, user-friendly design solutions.

· Proficiency in a variety of design and prototype tools such as Sketch, Invision, Figma, Framer, and the Adobe Creative Suite.

· Bachelor's or Master’s degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), design, or equivalent professional experience.


· Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

· Experience working in a collaborative team environment to deliver high-quality design solutions

· Experience planning and executing effective customer research, solo, or in partnership with a UX Researcher

· Experience in designing cross platform experiences

· Experience designing reusable UX components or libraries
