The opportunity

Adobe Design is seeking a Staff Experience Designer to join the Creative Cloud Libraries Team and help us build the best tools in the industry for facilitating systematic creative process and reuse, from beginning to end, all in one place. We are designing next-generation experiences for a wide range of customers—from designers to artists to photographers and filmmakers and more. This includes features that surface across our desktop and mobile applications, web-based products, and new services that will form a new way creative professionals work for years to come!

What you'll do

  • Communicate design ideas at various stages of the design process with wireframes, flow diagrams, storyboards, mockups, and/or high-fidelity prototypes.
  • Design holistic experiences across many products and platforms while collaborating with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional partners.
  • Define design strategy and craft visions for products and experiences.
  • Have meaningful ownership. You’ll make important decisions about how the product looks, feels, and behaves.
  • Partner closely with the user research team and engage directly with customers to gain a deeper understanding of their goals, validate design solutions, conduct quick rounds of usability testing, incorporating results into your design process.

What you need to succeed

Must-haves:

  • 7 or more years of experience and/or training in design or a related field
  • College degree or equivalent practical experience in design with an emphasis on graphic design, HCI, or related design field
  • The ability to lead through ambiguity in order to create clarity
  • High proficiency in systems thinking and problem solving. Our products and services are expressed across many surfaces and contexts.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workstreams
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication, and storytelling skills.
  • A real passion for collaborating across many subject areas
  • Curiosity, empathy, and motivation to discover and understand esoteric design and creative problems that might be unfamiliar to you.
  • Experience working iteratively with an agile engineering team.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, XD and other design tools such as Sketch, or Figma
  • Experience working with existing research, conducting your own research, presenting results, and acting on those results.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience building brand, design, or other systems of creative assets.
  • Prior experience crafting products for team collaboration, cloud, and/or creatives
  • Deep knowledge around and passion for accessible and inclusive design
