About the Team

As a Staff Product Designer at Alto Pharmacy, you’ll be responsible for crafting a set of products that underpin Alto’s ability to provide an unmatched level of pharmacy service at scale. You’ll join a team of passionate designers dedicated to building world-class patient and provider experiences, as well as tools and systems that help our pharmacists provide the best patient case possible, and we're looking for designers across all areas of the product as we continue to scale.

A bit about you:

  • You lead teams through influence, steering them in a clear direction through insights and creative solutions and love reconciling business goals with user goals
  • 10-12 years of professional experience designing user-centric experiences for web, desktop and mobile and are fluent in the latest product design trends, tools and technologies cross platform
  • You're creative, curious, and adept at solving problems few others can
  • Your work quality is held in high regard and you have a proven track record of raising the quality bar and productivity of people around you
  • You partner with research and data analysts to discover user-centric themes to pursue
  • You love fast-paced environments and have great instincts around how to balance speed of shipping to learn quicker, with pursuing quality and long lasting solutions
  • You never design solutions in a silo – you connect problems and efforts and deliver system-level solutions that impact the rest of the product ecosystem and the business


Additional Physical Job Requirements: 

  • Read English, comprehend, and follow simple oral and written instructions. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. Assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned
  • Communicating with others to exchange information. Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; those activities where detailed or important spoken instructions must be conveyed to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly
  • Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction, and having the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and making fine discriminations in sound
  • Frequent repeating motions required to operate a computer that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
  • Sedentary work: Sitting most of the time, exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Walking and standing are required only occasionally


In order for your application to be considered, we require a portfolio or case studies demonstrating: shipment of multiple products successfully; application of interaction design patterns to solve complex workflows; expertise in wielding information hierarchy, layout, composition, and typography.
