Staff Quantitative User Researcher, Google Cloud

Minimum qualifications:

  •  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Learning Sciences, Statistics, Psychology, related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of work experience in an applied research setting.
  • Experience in programming languages used for data manipulation and computational statistics (e.g., Python, R, MATLAB, C++, Java, Go) and with SQL.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, or Information Science.
  • Excellent use of research questions within a given domain, and of technical tools for the analysis of data within that field.
  • Experience in programming computational and statistical algorithms for large data sets.
  • Experience working collaboratively with senior designers, product managers and engineers.
  • Ability to understand, articulate positions, and advocate designs and frameworks.
  • Excellent communication skills.

You will be forming partnerships with the UX and cross-functional leadership of various product teams to ensure that the Critical User Interaction (CUJ) program is set up to measure the attributes that are relevant to the business in each product area (PA).
