Lenovo s Cloud and Software UX / CX team is seeking an experienced User Experience professional to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will have the ability to move concepts across the breadth of the design process from early ideation, through design and user testing, and into development. In this remote role, we are looking for an individual who is able to: * Approach most situations with a learner's mind * Provide professional assessment of product experience and usability * Question norms and seek to validate assumptions and current understanding through usability testing methodologies and research * Deliver mockups, wireframes, and prototypes as a part of the design and development process * Embrace the need for documentation to offset frequent questions that arise during implementation * Use ideation and prototyping skills to create new concepts which address the needs and pain points of our users * Analyze and synthesize user data to uncover insights and opportunities * Effectively communicate findings and ideas to the larger design and development organization with an emphasis on bringing out the voice of the user * Work within established design guidelines and actively contributes as needed * Actively seek for help when experiencing gaps in current knowledge (we all have them) About Lenovo: Lenovo is a $46 billion global Fortune 250 company and leader in providing innovative consumer, commercial and enterprise technology.

Position Requirements: Basic Requirements * 4+ years experience working as a user researcher, software designer, or human factors engineer * 4+ years experience creating User Interface designs and prototypes for applications, mobile or the web * Minimum 1-year experience with industry standard design tools (i.e., Adobe Creative Suite, Visio, InVision, Sketch, Figma) * Basic understanding and familiarity creating rapid usability tests using remote industry standard tools (i.e.


UserZoom, ***************, ***********, **************** ) * Able to work US East Coast timezone hours, M-F * Able to clearly write and speak English to communicate concepts to the larger team Preferred_Qualifications * 4 to 8 years experience working as a user experience professional * Mid-level or greater experience creating designs in creative tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, Illustrator, or similar * Familiar designing cloud-based / SaaS products * Familiar designing older OS-installed applications * Strong focus/drive in at least 1 of these areas: User research, Information Architecture, or UI Graphic micro-interactions (not looking for a UX unicorn) * Able to create presentations based on findings or design enhancements * A portfolio which illustrates a core focus on end-user problem solving (You do not need to be a super-star graphic designer) * Experience working in an Agile environment * Experience evaluating analytic data * Some understanding of WCAG, 508, and other accessibility compliance and how to design for accessibility * A willingness to embrace and contribute to documentation relating to designs, workflows, character limits, and UI patterns * Able to work as part of a UX team (again, not looking for a UX unicorn) * Strong sense of visual communication skills and how to use design as a vehicle for communication * Able to work within established strategic and business guidelines * Familiarity with Jira and Confluence or similar task-tracking and documentation tools a plus * Able to reach out and ask for help, additional information, or guidance as needed * Multi-lingual a plus We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, status as a veteran, and basis of disability or any other federal, state or local protected class.
